5.2.8.2 Wired LAN Setup
The available options are "Cancel", "DHCP IP (AUTO)" and "FIX IP (MANUAL)". Select "Cancel" to discard the changes,
"DHCP IP (AUTO)" to get the IP Address, or "FIX IP (MANUAL)" to setup the IP Address manually. For selecting the DHCP
IP, the IP Address should show in the field after DHCP Renew window. For the FIX IP, the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default
Gateway and DNS server IP Address fields are required filling in.
5.2.8.3 NAS
Select "On" to enable the NAS function. When it enabled, the USB storage inserted in this player can be accessed from the
LAN. Please refer to the chapter to use the NAS function.
5.2.8.4 BitTorrent
Select "On" to enable BT client. When it is on, it will create BT folders "btdownload" "btpd" in the inserted USB storage for
BT client. This function supports USB for BT download.
How to use BitTorrent:
A BitTorrent server called ‘Neighbor Web’ has been integrated into the player.
- Connect the player to your home network (LAN or WLAN).
- Get the IP address of the player under seTUP -> neTWoRK menu.
- Type the IP address (e.g., 192.168.3.15) in the address bar of Internet Explore on our PC.
Then you can access the BitTorrent server from your PC.
note: The default user name is ‘admin’, and the default password is ‘123’.
BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file sharing protocol used for distributing large amounts of data on the Internet. A BitTorrent
utility (btpd – BitTorrent Protocol Daemon) has been integrated into the player.
The BitTorrent client btpd is running in daemon (a process running in the background) mode and you can manipulate the
process via the Web server.
add new torrent
- Click add new torrent on the BitTorrent Download page.
- Click Browse to upload a torrent file, and click Yes to confirm.
Managing the downloads
The BitTorrent Download page also allows you to start, stop, delete torrents, and set priorities for torrents, as well as view
the status of current torrents.
- Click start to begin download.
- Click stop to stop download.
- Click Delete to delete the selected torrent.
- Click Refresh to refresh the current status.
- Click Down arrow to decrease the priority for the selected torrent.
- Click Up arrow to increase the priority for the selected torrent.
5.2.8.5 MAC Address
The MAC Address of this player is showed in this area.
5.2.8.6 Wireless LAN Setup
Before configuring the WLAN network, insert the USB 802.11n Wi-Fi Dongle (not included).
To setup the WLAN connection, you will go through the steps below. In each step, setup and press "ENTER" to continue or
press "RETURN" to previous step.
