Register Description
R/W= Read/Write bits.
Note: The Reed Relay ports have a non-destructive read-back capability.
Reading back the ports results in the binary complement of the
output. This is particularly useful when writing software that queries
the last value written to prevent inadvertently changing the state of
the relays.
Connector and Jumper Pinout
Each relay has two sides, an A-side and B-side. Each side is connected to two
places: the cable, and the jumpers on the top of the board. The tables on the
next few pages provide the pin outs for the two DB-37 cable ends and the
onboard jumpers for both the PCI-32REL and PCI-32REL-B.
The cables included with the PCI-32REL can be plugged into two STB37 snap
track termination boards with the use of simple gender changers (model
GC37PF). For those using the UTB-K termination board with enclosed metal
box, C1800 ribbon cables should be used instead of the GC37PF so that cables
can extend into the enclosure. The cables included with the PCI-32REL-B can
be plugged directly into one or two STB37 termination boards directly,
depending on whether the side B relay is required by the application. If the
UTB-K termination board and metal enclosure kit is used, C1900 cables will
be required to extend and adapt existing cables into the enclosure.
