Introduction

Welcome to the POS-566/566L  550MHz K6

®

-3 / Pentium

Processor Multimedia POS Control Board Computer. The POS-
566/566L board is a LPX Spec. board, which equipped with high
performance Pentium

®

 CPU, LCD/CRT and 10/100Mbps Ethernet,

designed for the system manufacturers, integrators, or VARs that
want to provide all the performance, reliability, and quality at a
reasonable price.

This board has a built-in

hip™(DOC) Flash Disk Socket

for embedded application. The DOC Flash Disk is 100% software
compatible to hard disk. User can use any DOS command without
any extra software utility. The DOC currently is available from 2MB
to 144MB.

The POS-566/566L provides three 168-pin DIMM sockets for its
on-board DRAM with max. 768MB. DIMM module is 3.3V SDRAM.

The board’s Realtek RTL8139 IEEE 802.u network chipset
provides 10MBps or 100MBps Ethernet with auto-sensing function.
In addition, the 

POS-566

 is also Creative Sound Blaster 16 and

Roland MPU401 UART Mode compatible. This feature is not
available in 

POS-566L

.

With its Isolated Digital I/O control for field site application, this
POS-566/566L is the most advanced POS solution that supports
up to 550MHz processor.
