3.14 Isolated Digital I/O Connector
POS-566/566L has 4-bit IN and 4-bit OUT built-in digital I/O
connector. The connector type is DINKLE ED350V-10P. An
external power supply to the connector’s pin-9 and pin-10 is needed
to activate the digital I/O circuit. The external power supply’s DC
output should be connected with POS-566/566L’s power supply at
either 5V, 12V or GND to isolate POS-566/566L main system and
the external I/O device.
In case that you cannot find any external power supply to activate
the digital I/O, the 5V or 12V of the system’s power supply can be
used. Under this condition, your digital I/O is not isolated.
