Fibre optics safety
The Icotera CPE in its optical variant utilizes laser and fibre optic technology. Although the strength of
the light beam transmitted through the fibre is comparably low, caution should be maintained when
handling fibre connectors and cords. When not connected, all optical connectors and sockets must be
protected with dedicated caps. Before handling or reconnecting optical cables, ensure that they are
offline and no signal is transmitted through them.
