Example 1: Blowing air pipe installation
In this example, raw fibres are blown through a pipe which enters the CPE directly from the wall. At the
termination point, this kind of pipe requires the gas sealing mechanism, which is provided by the gas
block connector.

Example 2: WDM filter
The FTU base allows installation of a Wavelength Division Multiplexing filter. The example below
shows the WDM filter connected to a common fibre that enters the FTU through a blowing air pipe.
The filter, mounted in the holder in the bottom of the FTU, separates the CATV and data signals and
sends them through their corresponding fibres.
