The nature of the Distress call should be included in the Dis-
tress call.

Enter “DISTRESS CALL” in the DSC CALLS menu.

  •  ‘Undesignated,’ ‘Fire,Explosion,’ ‘Flooding,’ ‘Collision,’ ‘Ground-

ing,’ ‘Capsizing,’ ‘Sinking,’ ‘Adrift,’ ‘Abandoning ship,’ ‘Piracy’ or 
‘Man Overboard’ is selectable.

  •  The nature of the distress is stored for 10 minutes after a selec-

tion is made.

The Distress call confirmation screen is displayed.
