• Recording a message for transmit
To transmit a message using a voice recorder, record
the desired message in advance as described below.

Push [EXIT] one or more times to close a multi-
function screen, if necessary.

Select a phone mode by pushing [SSB] or
[AM/FM].

Push [(F-2)VOICE] to call up the voice recorder
screen.
r
Push [(F-2)MIC REC] to select the voice memory
recording screen.

Push the desired memory channel, [(F-1)T1] –
[(F-4)T4], for 2 sec. to start recording.
• Speak into the microphone without pushing the [PTT]
switch.
• Previously recorded contents are cleared.

Adjust the [MIC GAIN] control so that the [MIC-
REC LEVEL] indicator reads within 100%.

Push the selected memory channel, [(F-1)T1] –
[(F-4)T4], again to stop recording.
• Recording is automatically terminated after 15 sec.

Push [EXIT] twice to exit voice memory screen.
• Confirming a message for transmit

Push [EXIT] one or more times to close a multi-
function screen, if necessary.

Select a phone mode by pushing [SSB] or

Push [(F-2)VOICE] to call up the voice recorder
screen.

Push [(F-2)MIC REC] to select the voice memory
recording screen.

[(F-4)T4], momentarily to start playback and con-
firmation.

Push the selected memory channel, [(F-1)T1] –
[(F-4)T4], again to stop playback if desired.

Push [EXIT] twice to exit voice memory screen.

Memory channels can be tagged with alphanumeric
names of up to 20 characters each.
Capital letters, small letters, numerals, some symbols
