BASIC OPERATION

the power ON.

Adjusting the volume

Push and hold [MODE] for
1 sec. to open the squelch
(monitor function ON).
• “ ” indicator appears on the dis-
play while the squelch is open.

Adjust the audio to a suitable
level using [
VOL

1 sec. to close the squelch.

What is squelch ?
A squelch circuit allows muting of undesired noise while receiving
no signal and emit audio while receiving signals.
This provides quiet standby. The [MODE] key changes the
squelch setting. This is useful to listen to weak signals that do
not open the squelch.
