22. IR Sensor einstellen
Adjust IR sensor
For the first adjustment of the IR sensor
it is necessary to set the Nozzle height
to 0,50mm from the print bed.
The simplest method is to let the ma-
chine drive into the print bed with the
„Home“ button and then turn it off qui-
ckly. (Only with cold Nozzle!)
When done, turn the machine back on
and move up by „Move“ in 0.1mm steps
until the calibration strip slides under the
nozzle. Now your Nozzle is about 0.50 -
0.60mm away from the bed and you can
now adjust the IR sensor.
To do this, turn the adjusting screw to the right until the red LED lights up. Now your IR sensor is
set to a height of approx. 0.50mm.
(One turn of the set screw corresponds to 0.5mm height!)
Now repeat homing and the nozzle should now be about 0.5mm from the bed.
If this is not the case, use the calibration strip by moving the nozzle up or down 0.1 mm with
„Move“ until the strip fits exactly. Now set the IR sensor exactly so that the LED starts to glow in
this position.
If you can not move the nozzle down far enough, turn the set screw to the left and re-homing.
Fine adjustment of the IR sensor:
After printing starts, you can go to the „Baby Stepping“ via the „More“ button. Use „UP“ and
„Down“ to set the height in 0.025 increments during the first layer. If you press „Save“ these set-
tings will be saved for the next print!

For what do I need the enclosed 100ohm resistor?
We designed the cooler for printing at temperatures up to 300c
in combination with a Full Metal Heatbreak. If you do not need
this and only print up to max. 260c, so you can solder the en-
closed resistor in front of the fan in order to reduce its volume.
