Advanced OSD functions
For recalling fix text pages and lines silently (without writing a dialogue or edit window on screen) we
added new keyboard commands in version 2,08 of the firmware.
The range of memory locations of fix text pages is from 1 to 10. The memory number is always a two
digit number to be entered in the range 01 to 10. To recall a page of fix text press and hold the [Alt]
key and then press the first decimal digit number key [0] or [1]. Then enter the next number 1 to 9
complete the two digit number. You do not need to hold the [Alt] key for the second digit number.
The fix text page will be loaded immediately whenever you entered a valid two digit number. If you
press a non digit key the process of recalling a fix text page is aborted.
The range of memory locations of fix text lines is from 1 to 100. The memory number is always a two
three number to be entered in the range 001 to 100. To recall a line of fix text press and hold the
[Ctrl] key and then press the first decimal digit number key [0] or [1]. Then enter the next two
numbers 0 to 9 to complete the three digit number. You do not need to hold the [Alt] key for the
second and third digit number. The fix text line will be loaded immediately whenever you entered a
valid three digit number. If you press a non digit key the process of recalling a fix text page is aborted.
Screen Configuration

Shows the standard screen configuration with 2 status lines – one title line for user text on the upper
edge of the screen and a line with the values date, time and distance at the bottom (blue background
on the left). The user edit area is located in between these two lines (example with purple
background on the right). The status lines can be toggled on and off individually by F2 key. It is also
possible to switch on/off displaying of individual fields: date (F3), time (F4) and distance (F5). The
display of text in the edit area or the complete overlay can be switched on and off as well by F6. The
overlay hardware allows a maximum of 16 lines each with a maximum of 30 characters. In the
screenshots above you can see a resolution of 15 lines and 28 characters.
