Password:

In the Password page, you can set, modify, or delete

the password(s) for your computer.

The Password page displays the following items:

Power-On Password. The Power-On Password prevents unau-
thorized access to your computer at startup and when the com-
puter resumes from hibernation mode.

Setup Password. The Setup Password prevents unauthorized
access to the BIOS Utility and Notebook Manager.

For more information on passwords, see “Protecting your computer”
on page 73.

Note:

The hard disk password can only be set using the BIOS Setup
Utility. See “Using passwords” on page 74 for instructions on
how to set passwords.
