remove

cover

2.

   

Touch

 

the

 

static-protective

 

package

 

that

 

contains

 

the

 

hot-swap

 

fan

 

to

 

any

 

unpainted

 

metal

 

surface

 

on

 

the

 

server;

 

then,

 

remove

 

the

 

fan

 

from

 

the

 

package

 

and

 

place

 

it

 

on

 

a

 

static-protective

 

surface.

 

3.

   

Align

 

the

 

fan

 

over

 

the

 

bay

 

in

 

which

 

you

 

want

 

to

 

install

 

the

 

fan

 

and

 

lower

 

it

 

into

 

the

 

bay.

 

Press

 

down

 

on

 

the

 

fan

 

until

 

it

 

locks

 

into

 

place;

 

then,

 

close

 

the

 

fan

 

locking

 

handle.
