Installing memory in the 8335-GCA

To install memory in the 8335-GCA system, complete the steps in this procedure.

Procedure

1.

Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap attached. If not, attach it now.

2.

Determine the slot in which you want to install the memory riser. See “Plugging rules for memory in
the 8335-GCA system” on page 25 to understand the plugging rules and ensure that the memory are
plugged in the correct sequence.
Figure 29 shows the location of the memory risers in the system and Figure 30 on page 23 shows the
DIMM slot locations on the riser.
