Escape Sequence

A series of characters beginning with the code ESC which
activates a printer function.

FCC

Federal Communications Commission

Flow Control

RTS/CTS or XON/XOFF protocol.

Font Quality

where characters are printed in Draft or High Quality Draft.

Form

a document type defined as single-ply, multi-ply or an
envelope.

HQD

High Quality Draft. Two consecutive dot impacts are
delivered (double strike).

Hertz. The measuring unit for frequency (cycles per second)
