Connect networking cables
To provide connectivity for the system, you must connect networking cables to the appropriate ports on the control enclosure.
Ethernet ports on each node canister provide system management connections and iSCSI host connectivity. The onboard 10 Gbps Ethernet
ports use RJ-45 connections. The 10 Gbps ports operate at 1 Gbps when connected to a 1 Gbps switch. The technician port provides access
to initialization and service assistant functions.
FlashSystem 5015 onboard ports
Use the figure and the following table to identify the location and purpose of the
onboard ports on the back of the FlashSystem 5015 system.

After the system initializes, the technician port on port 2 is disabled. Port 2 can then be connected to the
Ethernet switch for host iSCSI connectivity, IP replication, or to act as a second management port.

Ethernet Port 2: Do not connect onboard port 2 to an Ethernet switch until the system initialization or service is complete. After the
system initializes, the technician port is automatically disabled; port 2 can then be connected to the Ethernet switch.
To use the technician port again, disconnect port 2 from the Ethernet switch. Enter the following command to re-enable the
technician port:
satask chserviceip -techport enable
Before you reconnect port 2 to an Ethernet switch, disable the technician port. To do so, enter the following command:
satask chserviceip -techport disable
