locking
mechanism
beyond

locked
position
might
damage

server

microprocessors

same
type
and

same
cache
size

clock
speed.
Microprocessor
testing
During
startup,
POST
performs
basic
functionality
tests
on
each
installed
microprocessor,
and
each
microprocessor
performs
its
own
built-in-self
test
(BIST).
If
you
suspect
that
an
installed
microprocessor
is
failing,
complete
the
following
steps:
1.
Shut
down
the
server;
then,
turn
off
the
server.
2.
Restart
the
server.
3.
Watch
the
monitor
to
see
whether
POST
reports
any
microprocessor
errors.
