– Order three 220-volt power supplies, 7132-REP, FC 3090. Also order the
following Engineering Changes:
- F20795A, for the power supply
- F23443A, for the power-supply package

Verify that engineering change ECA 005 is installed. Check the bar code on the
drawer mounting bracket for 1WCxxxxx. The code 1WC indicates that ECA 005
is installed.

If ECA 005 is not installed, order it. This ECA provides SSA loop bypass cards
– PN 25L5890 (bottom left)
– PN 25L5888 (top left)
– PN 25L5891 (bottom right)
– PN 25L5889 (top right)

The service representative ensures that the drawer bypass-card jumpers are
correctly positioned. This information is in the 2105 model 100 attachment to
ESS Service Guide.

Drawer Label Requirements
– The service representative needs the machine type, model and serial number
from the label on the front bezel of the Model 20 drawer. This is the
″
old
label
″
. The blank S/N labels are included in the 2105 Model 100 Feature
Code 1121 and 1122 ship group
– The service representative records the information from the old label onto the
new blank label (PN 05J7400) that IBM provides in the VSS Ship group. The
service representative attaches the new label to the lower right-hand corner of
the 7133 drawer so that it is visible.
Note: This visual label provides essential information that you and the service
representative need when preparing the configuration work sheets.
Model D40 Requirements
Your Model D40 drawer must meet the following requirements before a service
representative can install it in a ESS:

It must be a 7133 Model D40
Note: You cannot install a 7133 Model T40 in a 2105 .

You need to remove the front cover from the Model D40
v
Disk Drive Modules (DDM):
– The Model D40 drawer must have 16 DDMs that are all the same capacity
and speed, either 4.5, 9.1, 18.2 or 36.4 GB DDM.

The service representative ensures that the drawer bypass-card jumpers are
correctly positioned. This information is in the 2105 model 100 attachment to
ESS Service Guide.

Drawer Label Requirements
