Some models come with a high-performance video adapter.

SVGA connector

Connector

Description

Audio line-in connector

Use this jack to receive audio signals from an external
audio device, such as a stereo system. When you
attach an external audio device, run the cable between
the Audio line-out connector of the device and the
Audio line-in connector of the computer.

 

 

Microphone connector

Use this connector to attach a microphone to your
computer when you want to record voice or other
sounds on the hard disk or if you use
speech-recognition software.

Monitor connector

Use this connector for most SVGA monitors.

Description

Digital video interface
(DVI) connector

Use this connector for a digital monitor. This
connector provides the signals necessary to support
the Display Power Management Signaling (DPMS)
standard.

 

 

SVGA monitor converter

Use this converter to attach analog SVGA monitors to
the DVI connector.

 

 

S-Video connector

Use this connector to attach a television set that has
an S-Video connector. The S-Video cable (required to
connect the television set to the adapter) is a
separately purchased item.
