Chapter 6. FRU information (service only)

Hard disk drive backplane

To remove the hard disk drive backplane:

Note:

Read“Safety information” on page 107 and “Before you begin” on page 42.

Power off the server.

Remove the cover. See “Removing the cover” on page 44.

Disconnect the backplane cable from the system board.

Pull out the hard drives in order to disconnect them from the backplane.

Remove the screw from the top of the backplane bracket.

Gently but firmly lift the backplane bracket and board up from the chassis.

Power supply

To remove the power supply:

Power off the server.
