To avoid damage to the printer, be

extremely careful when vacuuming and

dusting around the hammer bank and

surrounding areas.

Using a soft-bristled, non-metallic

brush, remove dust particles from

the paper path, ribbon guides, and

ribbon path. Refer to the ribbon

path diagram on the shuttle cover.

Brush and vacuum accumulated

dust or residue, especially in the

tractor, hammer bank (not

shown), and base pan areas.

Wipe the splined shaft, ribbon

guides, and platen (not shown)
