6. Replace the bezel:
a. Rotate the bezel 180° forward and align the top of the bezel with the top of
the uninterruptible power supply.
b. Slide the tabs into the slots on the top of the uninterruptible power supply.
c. Rotate the bezel down and then press up and hold the two bezel latches.
d. Press the bezel to the uninterruptible power supply until it clicks into place.
e. Release the latches.
Completing the installation
To complete the installation of the uninterruptible power supply, complete the
following steps:
1. If you are installing the IBM UPS Manager software, connect a computer to the
uninterruptible power supply by using one of the communication cables that
come with the uninterruptible power supply.
2. If an emergency power-off (disconnect) switch is required by local codes, see
“Installing the remote emergency power-off” on page 15 to install the remote
emergency power-off switch before you turn on the uninterruptible power supply.
3. Connect the devices that you want to protect to the applicable uninterruptible
power supply output receptacles. Do not turn on the devices. For information
about load segments, see “Configuring load segments” on page 26.
Notes:
1. Do not protect laser printers with the uninterruptible power supply because of
the exceptionally high power requirements of the heating elements.
2. Before you connect the uninterruptible power supply power cord to a power
source, see “Uninterruptible power supply initial startup” on page 17.
3. To avoid interference and flicker on any CRT monitors, make sure that the
uninterruptible power supply is placed at least 305 mm (1 ft) away from them.
