4.4.11 USB Configuration
BIOS Setting Description
Legacy USB Support
•
Enabled enables Legacy USB support.
•
Auto disables legacy support if there is no
USB device connected.
•
Disabled keeps USB devices available only
for EFI applications.
XHCI Hand-off This is a workaround for OSes without XHCI
hand-off support. The XHCI ownership change
should be claimed by XHCI driver.
USB Mass Storage
Driver Support Enables / Disables the support for USB mass
storage driver.
USB Transfer
time-out The time-out value (1 / 5 10 / 20 secs) for Control,
Bulk, and Interrupt transfers.
Device reset time-out Gives seconds (10 / 20 / 30 / 40 secs) to delay
execution of Start Unit command to USB mass
storage device.
Device power-up
delay Maximum time the device will take before it
properly reports itself to the Host Controller.
“Auto” uses default value: for a root port it is 100
ms, for a hub port, the delay is taken from hub
descriptor.
Jet Flash Transcend
32GB 1100 Mass storage device emulation type.
“Auto” enumerates devices according to their
media format. Optical drives are emulated as
“CDROM”, drivers with no media will be emulated
according to a drive type.
