7.6 Static Routing
You can use this section to set up router’s static routing feature.
●
Destination Network IP Address : Enter a destination IP address or subnet.
●
Subnet Mask : Enter a Subnet Mask that corresponds to destination IP address or subnet you
entered.
●
Gateway : Next-hop IP address.
Note:
1. Gateway IP address must be on the same subnet with the router’s LAN/WAN IP address.
2. If you want destination network to be a single host, then you must enter an IP address thereof
and 255.255.255.255 respectively in Destination Network IP Address and Subnet Mask boxes.
3. If you want destination network to be a network, then you must enter an IP address and a
corresponding subnet mask value respectively in Destination Network IP Address and Subnet
Mask boxes. For example, if you enter 10.0.0.0 in the IP address box, then corresponding subnet
mask should be 255.0.0.0.
