Instructions for Use
First check that the voltage marked on the product is the same as your supply voltage.
Select a suitable position close to an electric socket, on a dry and flat surface.
Make sure (that) the control button is turned to the OFF setting. Plug in the appliance.
There is an invisible protective coating applied on the hot plates as part of the manufactu
-
ring process. This protective coating must be removed before you can use the appliance for
the first time. In order to do this, set the control button to the maximum setting and leave the
cooker switched on for approximately 10 minutes. Make sure that the room is properly ven
-
tilated, as some smoke can occur. This is not a cause for concern; it is the process by which
the protective coating is removed. Switch off the hot plate and let it cool down completely,
the appliance is now ready for use.
Always use flat-bottomed saucepans, which make a good contact with the hot plate. The
saucepan basement should ideally be of the same size as the hot plate.
Switch ON the plate by the control button and select the temperature. The hot plate has
a range of various temperature levels. The light will go off when the hot plate reaches the
selected temperature and it will turn on and off cyclically to maintain the same temperature.
Due to the hot plate’s construction, some residual heat will remain after switching off the
appliance. This may be used to keep food warm for a short period of time after it has been
cooked. After use, turn temperature dial to OFF and unplug the appliance from the electrical
outlet.
