PRECAUTIONS & fEATURES
Peruse the following precaution information prior to using this unit.
Power cord protection
Hold the plug firmly when connecting or disconnecting the AC power cord to/ from the mains
outlet.
Do not connect or disconnect the AC power when your hands are wet.
Keep the AC power cord away from heating appliances.
Never place any heavy object on the AC power cord.
Do not attempt to repair or reconstruct the AC power cord in any way.
Remove dust, dirt, etc. on the plug regularly.
If the unit has been dropped or otherwise damaged, cut off the power and disconnect the AC
cord immediately.
If you find smoke, odd smell or noises emit from the unit, cut off the power and disconnect the
AC cord at once.
Placement
In order to protect the internal parts from damage, avoid placing the unit in areas with:
Direct sunlight or heat sources like heating radiators and ovens.
High temperature (over 35°C) or high humidity (over 90%).
Excessive dust.
Strong magnetic or electro-static effect.
Vibration, impact or wherever the surface is tilted.
Non-use Periods
Switch the unit to standby status or better turn off the power when the unit is not used.
It should be unplugged from the household AC outlet when the unit shall be idle for a long
period of time.
No fingers or other objects inside
Touching any internal part of the unit by hand or other objects proves to be dangerous, and
may cause serious damage to it.
Do not attempt to disassemble this unit by yourself under any circumstance.
Keeping
Keep the unit away from flower vases, tubs, sinks, etc. If water spills into the unit, serious
damage could occur.
Never place magnetic objects, e.g. speakers, adjacent to the unit.
Stacking
Place the unit on a horizontal plane, without anything heavy on it.
Do not lay the unit on an amplifier or other equipment that may get hot.
Interference
Because of the reception condition, some interference may appear on the TV screen while
you are watching a TV broadcast with the DVB-T on. This is not a case of malfunction of the
unit or the TV. When watching a TV broadcast, turn off the unit.
