Oil

Close

Install the filter to the filter head.
Mechanical over-tightening may distort the
threads or damage the filter element seal.

Â

Install the filter as specified by the filter manu-
facturer.

Oil

Operate the engine at low idle and inspect for
leaks at the filters and the drain plug.
Shut the engine off and check the oil level with
the dipstick. Allow 15 minutes for oil to drain
down before checking.

Fill the engine with clean oil to the proper level.
