(TC-618 as the example)
Removing the Battery
①
Power off the radio. Then hold the upper part of the radio and press the belt clip to make it tilt. Lift the
battery latch in the direction as shown in Figure 1.
② When the battery bottom gets tilted, release the latch and remove the battery as shown in Figure 2.
Note: Make sure the battery bottom is slightly tilted to avoid severe abrasion between the battery tab
and the slot in the radio’s upper body.

Attaching the Battery

Push the battery close to the aluminum chassis under the belt clip in the direction as shown in Figure
3. (Note: Make sure the battery tab is fully inserted into the radio’s slot. )
② Press the battery bottom gently until a click is heard.
Note: If the battery latch is loose or unsecured, please take it down and attach it again. See Figure 4.

Removing the Aluminum Chassis
① Unfasten the 2 screws at the bottom of the radio.
② Remove the Volume Control knob and Channel Selector knob.
③ Unscrew the two fixed nuts.
④ Turn and remove the antenna at the top of the radio. See Figure 5.
