5.3 Calibration
if the actual crimping measurement differs too much from the set crimping measurements
then calibrate the machine, perform this with die set size 19.
1. insert a Ø22x3 hydraulic pipe, or a ferrule, to the machine and crimp to Ø19mm.
2. Measure the crimped application thoroughly.
3. Loosen the locking screw and dismount the adjustment dial without moving the
shaft’s position on the control device. See picture below.
4. Turn the adjustment dial to the actual crimping measurement previously
measured.
5. Remount the adjustment dial to the control device, tighten the locking screw.
6. Repeat 1-2. Continue with 3-6 until the result is good.
