5.5 Connecting the (IN) suction port

Use a connector that is suitable for the port. The size of the
connection and the type of the threads can be found in the
"Technical data" chapter

Note the following when connecting the filter unit:

1.

Connect the filter unit to a suitable port on the hydraulic
system.

2.

In case of the suction port, ensure that the supply line is
suitable for a negative pressure of ≥ -0.5 bar and that
the permissible pressure is not exceeded.

NOTICE

Overpressure

The filter unit will be damaged/destroyed

u

Observe the permissible pressure at the suction port (IN).

If you expect coarse contamination (> 100 µm) in the operating
medium, e.g. due to weld splatter, metallic particles from the
assembly or someting similar, install a protective screen up-
stream of the filter unit in order to protect the pump.

When assembling the filter unit below the oil level, install a
shut-off valve in the line near the filter unit.
