7 Eliminating errors
In order to get quick and immediate assistance in the case of
errors, you will find the most often occurring errors with their
cause and remedy with suitable specialist personnel in this
chapter.
Error

Rectification
Water sensor
does not detect
water.
Drain valve does
not switch.
No power sup-
ply.
Check if the
AWD at the main
switch is
switched on.
No connection is
present to the
water sensors.
Check the power
supply to the
AWD.
No connection to
the drain valve.
Check the
wiring.
Leak between fil-
ter housing and
water sensor.
The water sen-
sor is not
screwed in prop-
erly.
Screw the water
sensor into the
coalescer hous-
ing with
≤ 25 Nm.
The seal ring at
the water sensor
is damaged.
Replace the
seal.
The signal lamp
Fault lights up.
Water sensor
detects water af-
ter the expiry of
the opening
time.
Check that the
water sensor is
working prop-
erly.
If necessary, re-
place the water
sensor.
To remove the
error, switch off
the AWD at the
main switch and
then switch it
back on.
