– Measuring system in standard mounting position X-180-Y-90
8.2.
Requirements regarding the mechanical installation
The following mounting instructions must be adhered to in order to ensure proper use:
The mounting surface must be chosen in such a way that the measuring system is
placed flat on the surface. The recommended flatness of the mounting surface is 0.1
mm.
Please ensure that the housing of the measuring system is not subjected to mechanical
load or torsional forces due to fixing. Non-observance may lead to leakage which may
lead to malfunction of the measuring system.
Stainless steel screws should be used for mounting. These screws should be tightened
using a tightening torque of 5 ±0.1 Nm. Please ensure that the measuring system is
fixed with
at least 3 screws
. For the positioning of the screws, please ensure they are
arranged symmetrically.
The recommendation, however, for fixing the unit is using
4 screws, which means one at the connection point of each housing corner.
By modification of the housing, leakage may occur at the measuring system which may
lead to malfunctions. Therefore it is not permitted to modify the housing.
8.3.
Requirements regarding the electrical installation
For the electrical installation, the following points should be adhered to in order to ensure
proper use:
Wiring, opening and closing of electrical connections must be carried out
in de-energized condition only!
Short-circuits, voltage spikes, etc. can cause malfunctions and uncontrol-
led conditions of the installation and constitute a serious risk of personnel
injury or damage to property.
The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician according to the
relevant regulations of the country concerned (VDE 0100 in Germany).
The EMC standards EN 61000-6-1, -2, -3 and -4 apply. However, the stipulations of
those standards are met only if the sensor's housing has been correctly connected and
earthed by a qualified electrician.
