3
Put the protruding parts of the back plate into the rectangular holes on the back of the unit
and fix with supplied screws.
3. Connect to water supply
Connect combined inlet valve and pressure relief valve to heater and connect to copper
pipe.
4. Connect hot outlet to one or more hot water taps or other outlets.
Note that simultaneous use of more than one outlet will reduce the delivered water
temperature. The use of spray head taps is recommended in cold water conditions (eg
UK winter).
5. Connection to Electricity supply
The power MUST be connected by a professional electrician. The use of an RCD circuit
breaker is recommended.
All wiring must be rated to 8.8kW load. The unit MUST be EARTHED.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
When operating the water heater for the first time allows water to run through
the unit before switching the power on.
If the unit freezes at any time on the inside or outside DO NOT switch on the
water heater in order to melt the ice. The unit must be left for the ice to melt
on its own.
To confirm that the unit is installed properly, operate it as follows:
1. To power the unit
Switch heater on using buttons on the left hand side of the heater.
Turn on the inlet water valve fully on and adjust the outlet valve to produce an acceptable
temperature/flow rate combination.
2. Adjust power setting
The right hand buttons allows the kW power to be adjusted. In normal UK conditions this
should be set to maximum.
A lower power setting will reduce the temperature for a given flow rate. The current
outlet temperature and power setting are shown on the digital display.
