BLADE DRIVE DRAWING

This is for models with serial numbers higher than 02100001. This also applies to models where
the “T” drive has been replaced after March of 2002.

This is for assembly orientation only. Refer to illustrated parts list in back of manual for part numbers.

BELT TENSION ADJUSTMENT

The proper tension is established when the
belt disengages completely and engages
without slipping.
After installing a new belt it is essential to
check tension after the belt has been used at
least ½ hour. The preliminary setting should
be about in the middle of the threads of the
adjusting cable. The belt may engage
slightly when new and cause the blade to
move, but this condition will disappear after
a few feet of cutting. It is more important for
this condition to exist rather than not enough
tension.
