
9. Turn the oil filter counterclockwise to remove it.
10. Lightly lubricate the rubber seal on the new oil filter
with new oil.
11. To attach the oil filter, turn it clockwise by hand until
the rubber seal is in position, then tighten a half turn
more.
12. Fill with new oil as given in
engine oil level on page 24
.
13. Start the engine and let it idle for 3 minutes.
14. Stop the engine and make sure that the oil filter does
not leak.
15. Fill with oil to compensate for the oil held in the new
oil filter.

To do a check of the transmission oil
level
1. Remove the two screws, one on each side, and lift
off the transmission cover.
2. Make sure that the oil level in the transmission oil
tank is between the two horizontal lines on the tank.
3. Fill with engine oil if the oil level is below the lower
line, but do not fill above the top line.

Rider 320 AWD must have a synthetic oil.
To lubricate the belt adjuster
The belt adjuster must be lubricated regularly with a
good quality molybdenum disulphide grease.
1. Remove the 2 screws that hold the belt shield and lift
it off.
2. Lubricate with a grease gun, 1 nipple from the right
side below the lower belt pulley, until grease is
forced out.
3. Attach the belt shield and tighten the 2 screws.
