Belt tensioning
Loosen one turn
Loosen both nuts that hold the cutting
arm and the screw that locks the adjust-
ment washer.

Loosen the belt
Loosen the nuts and the screw as per the
illustration above.
Turn the adjustment washer clockwise
and press the cutting arm back to loosen
the belt.

arm back.
Fit the blade
Fit with the machine in a horizontal
position. Keep one blade with the nut
underneath. Fit the other blade with the
screw on the top.
Screw and turn the blade

To avoid risking the belt jamming
between the blades when tightening the
blade's centre screw, they are to be
tightened at short intervals while you
rotate the blade alternately.

Remove the blade
Press the belt out as far as
possible from the centre of the
blade.
Tighten the belt
Turn the adjustment washer using a
screwdriver or Torx 27 to tension the belt
at the right level. Check the tension of
the belt using a screwdriver that is pressed
into the belt downwards. Adjust to a
position where the belt can be pressed
down around 5 mm (3/16 in.) with
moderate hand power.
Tighten the screw to the adjustment
washer and both nuts on the cutting
arm.
Tighten the belt
Turn the adjustment washer to
tension the belt. Adjust to a
position where the belt can be
pressed down around 5 mm
(3/16 in.) with a screwdriver.
Tighten the screw and the nuts
as per the illustration above.
Remove the blade
Press the belt out as far as possible from
the centre of the blade. This is to be done
to avoid risking the belt getting jammed
between the blades when fitting.
