CAUTION: For HP200-2: Do not push the
earmuffs onto the helmet shell. This will
lock the earmuff arm and can cause dam-
age to the slots on the side of the helmet.
Disposal
• Obey national regulations.
• Use the local recycling system.
Technical data
Performance information and
limitations
The level of noise enteering a person's ear, when
hearing protection is worn as directed, is closely
approximated by the difference between the A-weighted
environmental level and the NRR.
Example:
1. The environmental noise level at the ear is 92 dB
(A) .
2. The NRR is 24 decibels (dB).
3. The level of noise entering the ear is approximately
equal to 68 dB (A).
CAUTION: For noise environments
dominated by frequencies below 500 Hz, the
C-weighted environmental noise level
should be used. Improper fit of this device
will reduce its effectiviness in attenuation
noise. Although hearing protections can be
recommended for protection against harmful
effect of impulse noise, the Noise Reduction
Rating (NRA) is based on the attenuation of
continuous noise and may not be an
accurate indicator of the protection
attainable impulse noise, such as gunfire.
