LUBRICATION SYSTEM

- Place the long oil screen

with the O-rings onto a pin wrench.

- Insert the pin wrench through the drill hole of the screw plug and into the engine

case on the opposite side.

- Push the oil screen all the way into the engine case.

- Mount and tighten screw plug

with the O-ring.

Guideline

115 Nm (11.1 lbf ft)

- Mount and tighten the oil drain plug

with the magnet and a new seal ring.

- Remove screws

Remove the oil filter cover with the O-ring.

Pull oil filter (3 out of the oil filter housing.

Circlip pliers reverse (51012011000) (

p. 220)

- Completely drain the engine oil.

- Thoroughly clean the parts and sealing surface.

- Lay the motorcycle on its side and fill the oil filter housing to about ½ full with

engine oil.

- Insert the oil filter into the oil filter housing.

- Lubricate the O-ring of the oil filter cover and mount it with the oil filter cover @.

- Mount and tighten the screws.

- Remove the oil filler plug

with the O-ring from the clutch cover and fill up with

engine oil.
