WARNING:

The first time the product is

started on the work day, do a check of the

PRCD. Refer to

To examine the PRCD on

page 9

1. Connect the power plug of the product to a power

outlet.

2. Push the "RESET" button on the PRCD.

3. To set the operation speed, turn the drill spindle and

at the same time move the gear selector. Set the

gear selector in the correct position for the operation.

4. For wet drilling, connect the water system and open

the water system. Refer to

To prepare the product

for wet drilling on page 12

5. For dry drilling, attach the dust extractor to the

product and start the dust extractor. Refer to

prepare the product for dry drilling on page 11

6. Push and hold the power switch.

To drill a start hole with the

Smartstart

™

function

The Smartstart

™

function decreases the speed of the

motor. This helps to make a start hole. The decreased

speed of the Smartstart

™

function is only applicable for

start holes and not for usual operation.
1. Start the motor. Make sure that the drill bit does not

touch the material.

2. Push the Smartstart

™

button (A) one time. The

speed decreases and the Smartstart

™

function is on.

3. Drill a start hole in the material.

Note:

The Smartstart

™

function goes off

automatically when the speed increases.

4. To stop the Smartstart

™

function manually, push the

Smartstart

™

function button again.

To operate the product

WARNING:

If the PRCD engages,

remove the drill bit from the hole before you

push "RESET".
