7. Brake/Bypass Lever
Located at the back of the rear deck. Used to
apply park brake or bypass the IZT gears for
free wheel (neutral) condition.
The functions for the lever is:
1.
Drive, used when operating the machine.
2.
Parking, parking brake applied.
3.
Bypass, used when moving the machine
by hand.
Parking Brake
The parking brake on IZT machines is applied
when the Brake/Bypass lever is set in
position 2. The parking brake must only be
used to brake a machine which is standing
still. Be careful if you release the parking
brake on sloping ground. The machine is
heavy and can move uncontrolled, especially
if the lever is set to the bypass position (3).
8. Blade Engagement Switch
In order to engage the blades, pull the knob
out. The blades are disengaged when the
knob is depressed.
The switch energizes the clutch for the V-belt
pulley, placed on the crankshaft, to drive the
blades.
