7) Remove 3/8”-24 lock nut, cam latch and spacer from Handle Assembly. Align handle with holes (shank
will pass through opening in drawer) and re-install the 10-32 flathead bolts/nuts using 1/8” Allen Wrench.
On the inside of the drawer, re-install the spacer, cam latch and 3/8”-24 lock nut on handle shank, tighten
nut only finger tight. Turn handle and note the position of the cam latch. The cam latch should be oriented
on handle shank so that it will secure drawer unit when handle is horizontal on drawer (see note #2).

Suburban:

A) Mount “J” Strap to tapped hole in rear of box with 3/8” Bolt and Washer, do not tighten.

B) Remove the two rear cargo tie-down loops from cargo area using a T50 Torx wrench. Position the two
short 1” round spacers provided in the recesses where tie-down loops were removed. The storage box will
later be positioned over these stand-offs and bolted into place.

C) Carefully slide the storage box into cargo area while tipping the rear of box down to slide “J” hook under
the 3

rd

 seat handle.  (see note #3).

D) Install M10 X 60 Allen bolts through case and 1” round spacers and into threaded holes that held tie-
down loops. Tighten securely.

E) Tighten 3/8” Bolt on “J” hook. Proceed to step #8.

Excursion:

A) Remove the four cargo tie-down loops from the cargo area. The four, 4” square plates will be bolted
down at these locations later to mount storage box.

B) Disconnect hinge stop lever on both rear doors by depressing spring and lifting lever from pin (see note
#6). This will allow full door opening needed to slide Storage Box into cargo area.

C) Carefully slide the storage box into cargo area and install M6 X 40 Allen bolts through 4” square plates
and into threaded holes that held the  tie-down loops. Tighten securely (see note #4).

8) Guide drawer back into drawer slides and re-insert detent pins.

9) Install Drawer Liner (foam) into drawer.

10) Install Cargo Liner by first centering liner on top of Drawer Unit. Then, insert the Cargo Liner Retention
Block into the recess molded into the cargo liner. Using the Phillips Head Screwdriver, install the three #8 X
1-1/4” Stainless Steel Wood Screws through the holes in the Retention Block and into the top of the Storage
Box (see note #5). Take care to make sure the liner is center before attaching.

11) Your Storage Box should be treated as you would the exterior of your vehicle. Wash with gentle soap
and water and rinse well. The easiest way to clean the drawer liner or cargo liner is with a damp cloth or
sponge. If using a cleaner, 409® or Glass Plus® work well. The use or Armor All®, Son-of-a-Gun® or
similar items is discouraged as the products make the liner slick.
