B.

Assemble the light kit to the upper switch housing using (3)

#6-32 x 3/8" long screws with lockwashers. See Figure 12.
Tighten the (3) screws securely.

NOTE: Failure to properly tighten the (3) screws could result in
the light kit falling.

C.

Assemble (3) thumb screws to each globe fitter using the

threaded holes in the side of the fitter. See Figure 12.

Step 12: Install Globes

Install the globes to the fitters by inserting the neck of the globe
into the fitter and securing the globe in place by tightening the
thumb screws. See Figure 13.

NOTE: Make certain all thumb screws are tight against the
globe or the globe could fall.

CAUTION: Use maximum 60 Watt 120 Volt lamps.

Step 13: Operation of Fan
A.

Turn electrical service on at main panel.

B.

Fan switch operates in this sequence: “High,” “Medium,”

“Low,” “Off.” Pull chain slowly to operate. Also, release the
chain slowly so as to prevent chain from flying up into blades,
possibly resulting in damage to blades, or pull chain. The break-
away connector is designed to separate from the chain at a pre-
determined force. If this separation occurs, simply reinsert the
connector. It can be reused again and again. See Figure 12.

The light on/off pull chain switch is located in the switch housing.

C.

Motor is electrically reversible. When first operating fan,

determine direction of air flow. If you wish to change direction,
switch fan off and allow to stop. Slide reversing switch to the
opposite position and switch fan back on. See Figure 13.

Speed Control

As an option, a wall mounted speed control switch is available
from your Hunter dealer.

Step 10: Assemble Upper Switch Housing
A.

First feed the upper plug connector through the hole in the

top of the upper switch housing.

Using (3) #6-32 x 3/8" long screws with lockwashers supplied in
sacked parts assemble the upper switch housing to the mounting
plate located at the end of the motor shaft. See Figure 11.

Align the upper switch housing so the narrow section of the (2)
keyhole slots are directly under the (2) assembly screw heads.
Assemble the third screw using the round hole in the top of the
upper switch housing. Tighten all (3) screws securely.

NOTE: Check and make sure the upper switch housing is
securely assembled to the mounting plate. Failure to properly
tighten the (3) assembly screws could result in the light kit
falling.

Step 11: Assemble Light Kit

A.

First connect the upper plug connector from the motor to the

lower plug connector from the light kit. See Figure 12.

NOTE: The plug connector is polarized and will only go togeth-
er one way. Make sure you align both halves properly when you
plug them together.
