Installation
Note:
Perform connections in such a way that you can install the unit
through the ceiling of the cleanroom. If possible, leave the adjacent
ceiling panel empty during installation, so that, while standing on a
tall ladder, you can access the Humidifier after it is positioned in the
ceiling grid.
1.
Connect the Ultrasonic Humidifier Module (UHM) to the Power
Distribution Module (PDM) using the included labeled cables.
See Photo 3. Refer to system drawing for location of the PDM.
2.
Connect the UHM to an external water source using the
included tubing. You may opt to use tap water instead of DI
water if you change out the water filter periodically. See Photo 4.
3.
Terra’s Ultrasonic Humidifier is designed to be a turnkey system
as an addition to your cleanroom. Simply place and rest the unit
on an open 2’x4’ ceiling grid from above the cleanroom. No
fasteners or gaskets are required to secure the unit in place.
Operation
The Ultrasonic Humidifier comes with a remote control to turn on the
unit and set your desired RH levels (up to 100% RH). Refer to the
attached Humidifirst MP-15 O&M Manual for further information on
this module.
Maintenance
Drain Pan
- The drain pan is installed into the unit to catch any
condensation. A ball valve (1/2”, threaded) is included to hook up
tubing to drain condensate build-up (see Photo 5).
GE Smartwater Filter (GXITD)
- This water filter is included and
installed into your unit so that you may use tap water as your supply
to the Ultrasonic Humidifier. Replace at every 2,000 gallons or 6
months, whichever comes first. Opting to use DI water instead of tap
water may extend the life of the water filter indefinitely. See Photo 6.
