5 Electrical Connections

Issue 04 (2016-06-20)

Huawei Proprietary and Confidential



It is recommended that the ground cable be connected to a nearby ground position. For a
system with multiple inverters connected in parallel, connect the ground points of all
inverters to ensure equipotential connections.

Procedure

Step 1

Strip an appropriate length of the insulation layer of the ground cable using a wire stripper, as
shown in

Figure 5-1

Step 2

Insert the exposed core wires into the crimping area of the OT terminal and crimp them using
hydraulic pliers, as shown in

Figure 5-2

Crimping a cable

The crimping must result in full containment of the cable conductors and complete contact between the
cable conductors and the terminal.

Step 3

Remove the ground screw from the ground point.

Step 4

Secure the ground cable using the ground screw and tighten the screw to a torque of 5 N·m
using a hex key.
