2.4.3 Host Settings

Introduction:
Used to configure host information and DNS for general, DNS and hosts settings; this feature is
limited to root user permissions.
1)
General: You can set the system host name and domain name.
2)
DNS: Contains DNS Servers and Search Domains. The DNS server specifies the domain name
resolution server address that the computer uses. The search domain specifies the default
domain name when the domain name is not specified.

Hosts: Displays a list of aliases for other computers.

Operating procedures:
Click "Start" -> "System Tools" -> "Host Settings", the running interface is shown in Figure 4-3-1:

Change the host name or domain name, as shown in Figure 4-3-1.

You can add or remove DNS servers and domain servers, the running interface is shown in figure
