After the storage system is powered on, do the following to initialize it. 
1. Modify the IP address of the management network port through CLI (before this operation, you need to 

connect the serial port on the controller enclosure to a maintenance terminal). 

2. Install the ISM (on the maintenance terminal). 
3. Modify the password of the administrator. 
4. Import a license file. 

After the storage system is initialized, you are recommended to install the following host software on the 
application server. 
1.

Initiator (optional and applicable to iSCSI host ports only): for how to install the initiator, see the 

OceanStor Dorado5100 Storage System Installation Guide

. 

2.

UltraAPM (optional): for details on how to install the UltraAPM, see the 

OceanStor UltraAPM User Guide

. 

3.

UltraPath: for how to install the UltraPath, see the

OceanStor UltraPath for Linux User Guide

 , and 

OceanStor UltraPath for AIX User Guide

. 

 

       

After checking that the storage system is powered on normally, install front panels for a neat appearance.

Installation Guide

 The default name of the storage system is "admin", and the password is "Admin@storage". You are  

   advised to change the default login password immediately after you have logged in to the storage  
   system for the first time, and to periodically change your login password in the future. This reduces  
   the password leakage risks. 

If faults occur during power-on, seek help from the 

OceanStor Dorado5100 Storage System Troubleshooting
