9 Daily Maintenance

upgrade the device by using the upgrade tool or platform. To upgrade the device by using the

9.5 Resetting the System Service Password

Description

You can change the password of the Linux operating system running on the device. During
device upgrade by using an upgrade tool, you need to use this password to log in to the device.

The default user name is

root

and the default password is

IPCam123

. Please change and save the

password during first time login. If you forget the password you can only use Reset button to restore the
device to factory settings.

Procedure

Step 1

Choose Maintenance > System Service.

The

Reset Service PassWord

page is displayed, as shown in Figure 9-6.

Enter the old password.

Step 3

Set the password for device upgrade and maintenance.

Step 4

Confirm the password.

Step 5

Click

The message "System Service Parameter Updated" is displayed.

Step 6

Click

The system automatically saves the settings.
