10.12.18 Connecting a Monitoring Cable to a Point Water Sensor
Prerequisites
A monitoring cable required has been prepared.
You are familiar with the functions of all ports on the CCU collector by referring to
10.12.2 Port Description for the CCU Collector
You are familiar with the functions of all ports on the ECC collector by referring to
10.12.3 Port Description for the ECC Collector
Context
When connecting the point water sensor and the CCU collector, you need to perform the
following steps to prepare a special monitoring cable.

Procedure
Step 1
Connect the monitoring cable to the collector.
If connected to a CCU collector, the monitoring cable should be connected by
performing the following steps.
a.
Prepare an RJ45 connector on one end of the network cable by following the
instructions in
10.12.1 Preparing a Monitoring Cable
to the Ethernet port on the water detector.
b.
Use core wires 3, 6, 7, and 8 on the other end of the network cable as cord end
terminals and connect them to the ALM_IN port on the CCU collector, as described
in
Table 10-60
