The 10G LAN board mainly implements 10G LAN processing and interface functions. The interface 

complies with IEEE 802.3ae, implements MAC and Physical Coding Sublayer (PCS) functions and 

provides functions such as loopback, environment monitoring and information query. 

The 10G WAN board mainly implements 10G WAN processing and interface functions. The 

interface complies with IEEE 802.3ae, implements MAC, PCS and Wide Area Interface Sublayer 

(WIS) functions and provides functions such as loopback, environment monitoring and information 

query.  

Depending on the optical module types supported by the interface boards, the NE80E can provide 

two types of modules: pluggable XFP optical module and fixed optical module. During the 

networking, you can select 10G LAN boards or 10G WAN boards based on the differences between 

the two types of boards described above and the current condition of the network, and then select 

different 10G optical interface boards supporting XFP optical modules or fixed optical modules 

according to the transmission distance. 

 

Specifications 

Currently, the NE80E provides three types of 10G LAN boards and four types of 10G WAN boards. 

Among them, two types support pluggable XFP optical modules while the other five types support 

fixed optical modules. The following table lists the specifications:
