3.1 Board and Module Configurations

This chapter describes the configuration principles of the boards and modules in the cabinet.

3.1.1 Module Configurations in the Cabinet

The BTS3900 cabinet uses a modular design. The main components of the cabinet are the
BBU3900, RFU, DCDU-01, and fan box. The power equipment (DC/DC) and power equipment
(AC/DC) are optional components of the cabinet.

3.1.2 Board Configurations of the BBU3900

This section describes the board configurations of the BBU3900 in the GSM Only (hereinafter
referred to as GO), UMTS Only (hereinafter referred to as UO), LTE Only (hereinafter referred
to as LO), GSM+UMTS (hereinafter referred to as GU), GSM+LTE (hereinafter referred to as
GL), and UMTS+LTE (hereinafter referred to as UL) scenarios.

3.1.1 Module Configurations in the Cabinet

The BTS3900 cabinets can be classified into three types: the BTS3900 cabinet (-48 V DC),
BTS3900 cabinet (+24 V DC), and BTS3900 cabinet (AC).
